How to Add Services to a Party and Use Them in Contracts

Once a service exists in your org catalog, you attach it to a client party so it flows automatically into any contract you generate for them.

Once a service exists in your org catalog, you attach it to a client party to tell Knuula which work that client has engaged you to do. Those attached services then flow automatically into any contract you generate for the party — filtered to match the template.

You have two ways to get services onto a party, and into a contract.

Option 1: Add services while managing a party, then create the contract

  1. Open the Parties tab and click the party you want to update.
  2. Switch to the Services tab.
  3. Click the + (add) button on the service type group you want to add to — or open the full services picker.
  4. Check the services you want to attach from the list on the left. Use the Service Types filter to narrow the options.
  5. Click Save.
  6. While still in the Parties tab, select the checkbox next to one or more clients.
  7. Click Prepare Contracts at the top of the page. The button shows a count of the parties you selected.
  8. In the template picker, review the Services and Types columns to see which service types each template includes, then click the template you want.
  9. Click Preview. Knuula builds the contract using the services already attached to the party that match the template’s service types.

Option 3: Add or remove services during contract preview

  1. From the preview, click the green checkmark (✓) or orange circle next to any service group heading (for example, Accounting Services). A tooltip shows the condition that makes the group active.
  2. Click the condition pill (for example, ACCOUNTING) to open the party’s services editor, filtered to only the service types relevant to this template.
  3. Check the services you want to include and uncheck any you want to remove for this contract.
  4. Click Save. The preview updates with the new service list and fees.
  5. When the contract looks right, click Finalize to move it forward.

Please note: Changes made from the contract preview edit the party’s attached services directly, so they will also apply to future contracts for this party. If you only want a one-time variation, duplicate the service or create a separate party record.
