Managing Team Member Permissions

Configure advanced permissions for your team members, including notification preferences, drafting rights, API access, and more.

After adding a team member, you can edit their profile and configure advanced permissions — including notification preferences, drafting rights, API access, bulk creation, and more — all from the Organizations page.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Organizations.
  2. Click the team member's name in the list.
  3. Click Edit Team Member to update their name, title, or credentials.
  4. Scroll down to configure advanced permissions:

Email Notifications

Controls when this team member receives contract-related email notifications.

  • Default — follows the organization's standard notification settings.
  • Always Notify — the member receives a notification for every contract event.
  • Do Not Notify — the member receives no contract notifications.

Drafting Permissions

Controls whether the team member can edit master template copies.

  • Default — the member can copy master templates into their personal library but cannot publish changes back to the master template library.
  • Admin Drafter — the member can edit master templates and publish updates to the master template library.

Connect Permissions

Required for team members who need API access. If your firm doesn't use the Knuula API, you can leave this at the default setting.

Bulk Creation Permissions

Controls how many contracts a team member can create at once.

  • Default — limited to 250 contracts per page.
  • Admin Bulk Creation — allows creating thousands of contracts at once.

Revising Permissions

Controls the extent to which a team member can revise contracts. If no special permission is set, the default revision methodology applies.

Organization Settings

Allows the team member to edit firm-level details such as firm name and location.

Click Save after making any changes.
